According to investigators, the suspect targeted young women in financially vulnerable situations, offering them jobs in so-called “massage salons” with promised salaries of up to €4,000. She covered the costs of documents and accommodation, later using these expenses as a tool for manipulation and control.
The suspect also paid for cosmetic procedures and professional photoshoots for the women. She then claimed these costs had to be “repaid” through work abroad. Photos of the recruited women were subsequently posted on specialized websites advertising sexual services.
Police have opened criminal proceedings under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: human trafficking (Part 2 of Article 149) and illegal handling of weapons (Part 1 of Article 263). The suspect faces up to 12 years in prison.
