The Ukrainian Sociological Group Rating Group has released new survey data on attitudes toward women and men across different areas of public life. The findings were compared with results from the European study Eurobarometer.
Around 70% of respondents believe that gender equality exists in hospitals, schools, and universities. Similar figures are reported across EU countries.
The situation is slightly different in the labor market. In Ukraine, 62% of respondents say that men and women are treated equally at work. This is significantly higher than the European average of 40%.
Politics remains the most unequal sphere. Only 35% of Ukrainians perceive equal treatment of men and women in politics, while 47% point to male dominance. In the EU, this gap is even more pronounced, with 54% of respondents stating that male politicians receive more favorable treatment.
The survey by the Rating Group was conducted between February 26 and 28, 2026.
