The Crimean Human Rights Group has reported the disappearance of Marina Ryff, who has not been in contact with her family since November last year. The woman, who had refused to obtain a Russian passport under occupation, went missing after visiting a migration office in Simferopol.

Three rulings dated November 12, 2025, under Marina Ryff’s name were found on the website of a court controlled by Russia in Simferopol. Within the span of one hour, occupation “judge” Yevgen Pronin sentenced her under articles related to “display of extremist symbols,” “discrediting the Russian army,” and “petty hooliganism.”
The prosecution was reportedly based on Marina’s Facebook posts, which security forces described as “offensive.” Her relatives believe that after serving an administrative arrest, she was not released and is being unlawfully detained in one of Simferopol’s pre-trial detention centers.
